Japan

We visited Japan today and explored the 'Children's day festival' held on May 5th.

Traditionally carp kites are flown above the rivers so we made some little carp kites to fly ourselves.

We looked after the equipment as we worked to keep it safe so we could use it again.
William put the pen lid on the
end to keep it safe.
Jamie put the glue stick lid
back on.

 We also explored Japanese clothing.
A bowing Japanese girl wearing an obi around her waist and geta on her feet.

A Japanese girl with an obi around her waist and a fan.

Looking smart in Japanese clothing.

Fanning beauties from Room 15 and Room 17.

Then we sang a Japanese song to learn the names of body parts in Japanese.

We listened to some traditional Japanese music as we pushed the chairs in and made sure everything was back in the right place.
