Making icecream

Look what was on our door after lunch...

We quickly got some lab coats and safety goggles on.
Predictions
Scientist Amanda talked to us about the three states of matter (solid, liquid, and gas) before giving us all a special job to do.

One cup of salt was measured and added it into an ice-cream container.
Breaking up the ice with a hammer.
Three cups of ice were measured and added into the ice-cream container.

Cream was secured inside ziplock bags and added into the container. The ice-cream lid was then secured on tight.
We took turns to shake the container.
We passed it to another team member to shake when our arms became tired.

We opened the lid and peeked in at the ice-cream to see if the cream had solidified (become solid).

We took the ziplock bags out of the containers and tasted the iced cream.

Thank you Amanda for making ice-cream with us.
